a little about me...
In a former incarnation, I wanted to be a Forensic Psychologist. Life interfered however, and I spent ten years working with a multinational oil company in India. I like to say that life is more than just 9-5, and so I kept my sanity intact by writing, volunteering with the Samaritans, conducting workshops and training programs and adding items to my list of 'Things to do before I die'.
I have since moved to the UK and work with a Down's syndrome charity. That, and writing is what keeps me fully occupied these days.
I am also a 'bookoholic' (if there isn't such a word, consider it invented now). I love reading. I read anything I can get my eyes on - books, newspapers, popular and little magazines, technical stuff, back of cereal boxes...
My recent activities have included a renewed interest in making a difference to the charity sector in India, being a part of a women's running group and working on a cook-book for novice cooks (that's a two year old project that's been temporarily relegated...to the kitchen).
I enjoy working with computers - both with hardware and software. I can't imagine life without the Internet and email and I am eternally grateful to whoever created the Web.
If you would like more information on my work or want help with any aspect of running an NGO (including fundraising), please contact me.
